Biography

David Ploss is an American voice actor, narrator, and audio producer, born in May 1989 in Illinois. His work spans documentary film, commercial advertising, radio, and podcast production, with a career built around narration, storytelling, and performance-driven audio.

He began working professionally in voiceover in 2015 and has since developed a broad body of work across documentary and long-form narration. His credits include Adam Sandler: From Stand Up to Grown Up; Power, Lies & Corruption: The Hoffa Disappearance; Elvis: Death of the King; The Who: Rock Revolution; Heath Ledger: A Tragic Tale; Most Wanted Nazis; the Alien Contact documentary series, and multiple installments of True Crime Files. He is also credited as the Male Disc Jockey in the film The Land.

Alongside his film and documentary work, Ploss has spent more than a decade writing, voicing, and producing commercial advertising. His production work combines scriptwriting, voice performance, sound design, editing, and final mixing, with an emphasis on how pacing and sonic structure shape listener attention.

He also develops and produces podcasts and branded audio through Brand|Sound, while his voiceover, narration, and commercial production work operates under Ploss|Vocal.

Ploss is based in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and continues to work across narration, commercial voiceover, film, and audio production.
